burned out.

I'm feeling really burned-out lately... it's the constant chaos and moving from one obligation to another usually with no break. If I'm not at work I'm at the clinic, and if not there, Winston is bugging me to do something with him. I get home, lie on the couch, and in five minutes I'm asleep. I haven't slept in bed for months, I kid you not.

Other than that, I live the life of a bike messenger.

My big pleasure thing lately, though, has been watching these old amine tapes with the cat purring on my belly as I lie on the couch waiting for sleep to overtake me. The tapes are the series "Robotech" which was broadcast in Americanized form on TV back in the mid 80s. Caroline and I stumbled on it and we WORSHIPPED the show, which we only caught infrequently because it came on at like 9 am and we usually had to work. They made like 80 half-hour episodes and we saw only a handful. It's a big sprawling saga with lotsa characters. We didn't have a vcr back then (imagine that?), otherwise we woulda recorded them. When I finally got a computer, I found someone offering the entire series (that they had home-recorded) on eBay, so I snatched it up. But I was so busy I never got around to watching the tapes until now. The picture quality is shit poor, and the animation seems crappier than I remember it, but I'm starting to get back into it again. Ah nostalgia!

hee hee hee

This morning I discreetly placed a few single-use packets of sexual lubricant amongst the condiment packets in the lab break room.

Do you guys ever get the urge to do subversive things? Me, I can't help it.

I'm really enjoying the company of the cat I'm taking care of (its owner is in China). Finally, a room mate I'm actually happy to see!

So, I guess the blog is at an end and I'm just flogging a dead horse. I'll continue to make the occasional post until I really start to feel like I'm talking to myself.

please don't be dead!

I come from a family of dead people. I'm carrying on a relationship with a dead person. Don't be more dead people.
Summer is turning out to be jam-packed. I'm in the thick of training the new recruits at the bfc, and having a fun time of it. Looks like I'm going tgo be kitty-sitting for a couple of weeks for a fellow bfc-er. That'll be weird; haven't had a pet in 10 years!

So how's Yv.? I think my dad was really looking forward to talking to him.

blogging with corpses

So you guys dead? Huh? Well, whatever. I'm tellin' you, you guys shoulda gone in with me on the gathering of smart folks. Well, I finished moving, and am now living in the smallest place I have ever lived. Somehow all my junk fits. I basically own 5 varieties of stuff:
music stuff
computer stuff
clothes stuff
bike stuff
book stuff
the pluses of my new place are such:
no fucking hills between it and work
no fucking stairs to lug the bike up
nice little garden/back yard
quiet neighborhood
washer and dryer just outside my door
wifi hotspot
proven track record with landlord
